FAQs

Q?

How long will it take to build my new website?

A.

faq061216 After our initial discovery period, where we gather the information about what you’re looking for out of your site, we can then give you a timeframe. The process depends on several factors - custom design, functionality and content creation are some of the factors that go into determining a timeframe. However, once we start on your project, we will meet your deadline.

Q?

What will my new website cost?

A.

This is a common question that has a complex answer. Some of the factors that go into the cost of a site are:

  • Functionality
  • How many pages will the website consist of
  • Whether or not you need our content writers to create content for you
  • Your overall design needs

Contact us today and we can discuss this with you.

Q?

We have an existing website that we love, but our competitors spent much more on their websites – can we compete with them when it comes to digital marketing?

A.

The best thing about Google and other search engines is that they are centered around the consumer. If you have fresh content, a user-friendly website and are using up-to- date technology, you can be competitive. You don’t have to have spent six-figures on a website to compete, digitally, with a business that did. We will complete a competitive analysis for your business and formulate a plan to fill in the gaps where your competitors are lacking. Contact us today and we can discuss your options.

Q?

Can we update the website ourselves?

A.

The short answer is yes. Once the site is launched, we will have a meeting with you and your team where we will train you on how to access the backend and make updates to images, content and other elements. While you can update areas of the site yourself, there are elements that are best left to professionals. We will discuss that with you during our initial meeting.

Q?

Do we own our new site or do you own it?

A.

You own it. No matter what platform we build your website on, it is wholly-owned by you.

Q?

I built a site using a DIY solution – can you transfer content from my site to a new site that you build?

A.

This depends on the platform that the site was built on. We may be able to transfer some or all of your content over, but we’ll need backend access to confirm.

Q?

I’ve seen commercials on TV that say I can build my own website. Is that a viable option?

A.

The DIY websites have come a long way and they may actually be a good fit for your small business. There are several things that you need to take into account when using such services.

  • You don’t own the site you build. The website is owned by the company whose platform you built it on (i.e. Wix, Squarespace, etc.). If your company outgrows the platform, you will need to start from scratch.
  • Limited support. If you need something added to your site that you cannot do on your own, you may find yourself stuck in a queue waiting for a customer service rep to put in a trouble ticket.
  • Limited functionality. Each of the platforms are proprietary, so you may find that you’d like to add a video element to a certain page or insert an integrated Facebook feed, but the platform doesn’t allow that.

Q?

How long will it take for your company to get us on the first page of Google?

A.

No digital marketing agency should ever make any guarantees regarding how long it will take to get you on the first page of Google or any other search engine. There a lot of variables involved with increasing your search rankings, including the ever-changing Google Search Algorithm. What we DO promise is that we will help you formulate a strategy and marketing plan that will get us on the right path for success to achieve your marketing goals.

Q?

We have already have a website that we’re happy with, but the developer who built it isn’t responsive. Can you help us make updates?

A.

In most cases, we can help make updates or additions to your site. We also offer maintenance packages for any size website. There are, however, instances where the original developer used a proprietary platform that we cannot gain access to.

Your best course of action is to contact us and we can discuss your options, in detail.

Q?

I’m not a Fortune 500 company, can you still help me?

A.

Yes. Our team has experience with building websites for local businesses as well as very large corporations with extremely complex websites and everything in between.
